Daddy isn’t an option. But Trudaddy is.

Justin Trudeau: the man, the prime minister, the selfie enthusiast. But what is the best way to address a person with such power?

Ottawa's collective underwear got in a bunch Friday after the National Post's Matt Gurney declared we should all grow up and call Trudeau by his proper title.

We especially shouldn't call him Justin, said Gurney, as the Conservatives often do.

Arguably, this isn't so much due to a lack of acknowledgement for his office but to push the image of ~Justin~ — a floppy-haired young man wearing board shorts and teaching drama class.

And, arguably, dubbing him simply Justin has helped the Liberal Party position Trudeau as that friendly guy next door you could share a beer and a casual chat about the economy with.

Either way, it's time we put this to rest and decided what to call the head of our government from here on out.
